Easter- Celebrate the witches’ way.


Here are a few ideas to help celebrate easter.

Get out in nature.
  • Take an Easter walk in nature. If you can get to some woods or a forest, even better. Observe and absorb your surroundings.  You may be able to forage for some wild herbs or flowers; here are a few you may find in the countryside or woodlands.
  • Bramble leaves
  • Garlic mustard
  • Bittercress
  • Cow parsley
  • Mallow
  • Wild garlic

  • Now is an excellent time to plant some seeds or bulbs. Here are some ideas. 

Vegetables: carrots, courgettes, squashes, and cucumbers

Herbs: Rosemary, sage, chive, coriander, dill, parsley, borage, calendula, and lavender.

Flowers: Alyssum, cornflower, cosmo, marigold, poppies, sweetpeas, and don’t forget Sunflowers!

Decorate Eggs.

It is tradition to decorate eggs at Easter. Decorate them the natural way, using natural dyes. This is great to do if you have young children. Here are some ideas:

Coffee grounds,Turmeric, fennel seeds,Avocado Skins, Red Cabbage,Beetroots,Tea Leaves, Blueberries

  • Bury a raw egg near your front door, to bring in luck and abundance for the rest of the year and fertility to your garden.  Plant some flowers or seeds on top as a reminder.  Remember to take care of them. 
  • Set up an Easter altar and include eggs and fresh spring flowers.
  • Make an Easter wreath.
  • Spring clean your home. Try this ritual.
