Easter arrives as the land is waking up. The days are stretching longer, blossoms are appearing, and the earth itself seems to be exhaling after the long quiet of winter. For those of us who walk a folk or hedgewitch path, this is one of the most potent times of the year, it is a threshold moment.
Long before Easter became a Christian festival, the spring equinox and the weeks surrounding it were marked across many cultures as a time of rebirth, fertility, and awakening. Eggs, hares, flowers, and fire all carry ancient symbolism.
Get out in nature.

- Take an Easter walk in nature. If you can get to some woods or a forest, even better. Observe and absorb your surroundings. You may be able to forage for some wild herbs or flowers; here are a few you may find in the countryside or woodlands.
